My Bio

Meckenzie "Mack" Caldwell

Sports are my passion and I'm a firm believer in you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to, and you should never let anyone or anything stop you from accomplishing your goals.

I'm a graduate of Walt Whitman High School's class of 2024 and during my time as a Wildcat I was proud to have been a part of making history.  As a four year starting Varsity Goalie, I set the record for saves (402), and lead our team to our first playoffs in over a decade.  Although lacrosse is my love, football is also a strong passion which I have played since the 5th grade.  In my Junior year I became the first female Varsity Football player in Whitman's history and was honored to be a part of Whitmans first all-female Varsity Wrestling team.

Outside of my Varsity career, I was blessed to play for the Long Island Yellow Jackets on team Ramos and prior to that played for Team91.

Today I'm a Cardinal at Wheeling University!

College Athletics

During my senior year I was recruited to play Division II at Wheeling University by Head Coach Faith Flannigan to help rebuild their Women's Lacrosse Program.  It was an exciting opportunity and an amazing fit for me!  I'm currently enjoying my freshman year as a Cardinal.

I'm pursuing a Master's Degree  in Exercise Science, which I will use to fulfill my dream of a career in athletics.

Giving Back

Being from Long Island lacrosse is a big part of our culture.  I began playing in kindergarten with our town program in South Huntington.

When I was in middle school I began volunteering for SHYLAX (South Huntington Youth Lacrosse). Helping train goalies for both boys and girls at clinics and assisting during their travel season programs.  It was important for me to give back to the program that introduced me to the sport and helped me develop over the years.

This summer I will be part of 5 week clinic run by Collegiate Players that are SHYLAX Alumni helping to grow the next generation of South Huntington Wildcats!

One-on-One Training

I had the benefit of an amazing Goalie Coach that recognized my natural talent and helped bring out the best that I could be.  â€‹

This year I will be offering one-on-one training sessions while I'm back home for the spring and summer.
